What’s (a) Spazz?

While in Durham, we’d heard of a cool place in Greenville, NC our friends were playing called The Spazzatorium.

Ten years ago (!) we made our way out there to play a show. This post about it is so old, that I was dropping Myspace links.

I don’t remember the limbo, but I do remember a woman associated with one of the other bands saying loudly, in a New Jersey accent, “GET OFF THE STAGE!” when another band overextended their set. I loved it that someone spoke my thoughts, so succinctly.

We’re happy that Jeff is running shows again here in Philly — so far, the shows he’s helped curate have all been A+++++ (which is rare for me to say as a somewhat picky music fan).
